FBC Wylie is Christ centered, loving, community of believers. They host tons of programs for all ages and demographics and have recently added a Saturday evening. FBC is heavily involved in serving/benefiting our community in ways that many don't see such as maintaining homes in the area for families in need to be able to live in for free until getting back on their feet. Our kids love to go, and we have found lots of friends there.

We went to this church for 3 yrs. It was great, family was very active in the church. Then came changes, changes for the worst. Started changing there slogan to be more progressive, political correctness, only singed top 10 christian pop songs, wanted to appeal to the younger crowds and started to care less about the late 30's and 40's age group. Politics got into the church. The pastor Kris Segrest was starting to get into politics and you see, politics draw people, people is money, money is power, power and money mean bigger church and bigger church means more power over the city. It became a place to be seen,a social place of whose who in Wylie, the Fire Chief had to park his city vehicle in front of the church he used for personal use also, to make sure every one seen him there. The pastor Kris Segrest making sure everyone knew that the superintendent of Wylie David Vinson was there,a person who is womanizer, sexist pig and 2 face person who if he doesn't like you will force you out of the district or church position for that matter. How can you as a pastor let a man like that,be so involved in the church? Oh wait....its political and power because the Pastor only cares about him self and how big he is in Wylie. Then there's the youth group,it had gotten bigger with no control and bad leadership. Groups of bullies causing problems for other good kids and calling them horrible names and comments, then you tell the church leaders of the youth groups and all they can say is that its important that they get more kids involved in church with the other killing of the high school student and the drugs in the high schools. So lets not fix the problem fist before we get bigger,I was told if I didn't like I could find another church. This church is all about numbers only now....period. When you email the pastor he has a I'm better then you attitude so I don't have to answer your questions about something or explain something to you for better understanding. FBC is gotten so big there is a new thing called FBC Syndrome. Its where kids in school can do something bad but when you report them the principal or teacher will say I have a hard time believing you because I see them in church every Sunday with there parents. Even as parent when we had issues with a kid bothering and doing mean stuff to our kid it was FBC Syndrome they just didn't believe our kid or the other witnesses. If you speak out against this church you will be
black 8 balled in Wylie. Don't believe me how far this church political power house goes. Ask some Wylie Police officers what happens. You get busted down and black balled. This church was once a great place of worship,a family church,a house of God.But now its a social center for power and politics with a place to be seen and personal gain. Stay away unless you want a fake no good exp.Added May 16, 2017 by Dark Beer - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
